So what is motivation?
Motivation is basically a factor or an incentive that gives you the strong desire to do well in something or succeed. It is the process that initiates, guides and helps you maintain your goal oriented mindset and behaviour.
People often unknowingly tend to wait for motivation some factor or something in their lives to motivate them to make the necessary changes. It is common human behaviour and there is nothing wrong with that because it is our nature to think so and act accordingly. But the main thing about being “motivated” what people do not realise is that it is temporary and is not enough to pave the way for the path of success. A person can feel very motivated because of something yes that is true but how long will it take you? How long will this feeling of hunger to achieve something last? How long can this 1 factor drive you and keep you 100% focused.
That is when, one of the main and most important factor in one’s life plays a role - DISCIPLINE.
Let’s say you are very motivated to achieve a particular goal or achieve a dream physique or even get outstanding grades. You are all pumped up ready to face every challenge, ready to overcome all difficulties, ready to sacrifice your unnecessary pleasures, ready to put in all the work in the world to get what you want, but how long will this feeling last? This feeling of being “hangry”, having the hunger to reach your goal and the anger to push every distraction aside is just the starting point of your journey and it is what will drive you to set your path, but what will lead you to following your routine the correct process every single day of your life no matter the situation or circumstances, no matter the obstacles is discipline.
People nowadays really don’t get the importance the massive effect discipline brings in our lives. It will change the way you think, it will control your actions and it will bring you results. GET CONTROL OF YOUR MIND. This discipline will help you do that it will make you choose the right options every single day when you wake up, work, train, hang around with your friends, no matter what it is the discipline will make you make the better choice in every aspects. It will keep your life in place, your schedule and routine on track and help you complete all your tasks so easily without extra burden without any procrastination whatsoever.
Who would want to wake up every single day to study early in the mornings or stay up late at night when you can sleep peacefully but you have to get your work done hence you sacrifice your sleep. Who would want to wake up at 6am in the mornings every single day even when its a holiday, to wake up and go to train or go to the gym just to start your day off early and get the job done. Who would want to do all this every single day right? No one and if you think you do then you are lying to your own self which is completely pointless and waste of your own time. A person can be motivated to do all this to put in the extra hours of work to get it done ,yes but that is only for a short period of time. The thing what makes a person still do all of these tedious tasks and put in extra work every day in order to achieve what they want is only discipline. A disciplined man will not care what he has to do but he will get it done, he will wake up at any time require, he will make the necessary sacrifices, put in the extra hard work but at the end of the day do everything in his hands to get the work done. This is what makes a man successful, this is what helps you achieve your goals or rather makes you achieve your goals and not temporary motivation as it can only last for a certain period of time but once you have converted that motivation and made it discipline that is when you have paved the way to achieve your goal. It is what will make every thing you do every decision you make goal-oriented for a longer time till you get what you want and till you are not satisfied with yourself
Andrew Tate ,the TopG, a 4x Kickboxing World Champion said that in the years and years of his tedious and strenuous training, he would wake up before sunrise every single day to get a start before every one else and train until his full capacity because he had the hunger to achieve the world champion title. He said that in all these years only 25% of the times he was motivated enough to get out of bed on less sleep to go train and the only thing that got him through the other mornings, to overcome the feeling of satisfaction and laziness was discipline.
Let me end this clear and simple. You know eating that chocolate bar unnecessarily is wrong, you know spending hours scrolling on your phone is wrong, you know staying up till sunrise is wrong, so many things you do you know its the wrong option and the wrong thing to do to yourself for the long run, so make the right decision for your own good and drop whatever you are doing and feel is wrong. It will do nothing but help.
